Andrew (“Andy”) E. Grillo holds two Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Financial Economics from Capital University located in Bexley, Ohio. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Cincinnati William Howard Taft College of Law. Andrew has been admitted to practice in the State of Ohio upon his passing of the Ohio Bar Examination on his first attempt.

Immediately after law became a licensed attorney in the great state of Ohio, Andrew started his own private practice in his hometown of McArthur, OH located in Vinton County.

Andrew comes from a legal family as his father has served as a judge in Vinton County Court and Vinton County Juvenile Probate Court for approximately 25+ years.

Attorney Grillo began working for Attorney K. Robert (“Bob”) Toy on January 1, 2020. During his time at Toy Law Office and Associates, Mr. Grillo has been learning from Bob’s indefinite amounts of legal knowledge. Attorney Toy has mentored Mr. Grillo for the past four years and counting.

For example, Attorney Toy wasted no time helping Mr. Grillo gain invaluable legal experience by involving him in cases that are newsworthy locally, state-wide, and nationally. Andrew has been involved in numerous jury and bench trials, including sitting second chair in murder trials and felonious assault cases. Andy also tries cases on his own. In addition to his criminal trial experience, Andy has litigated vast quantities of divorce and custody cases in domestic and juvenile courts. Additionally, Mr. Grillo has litigated several adoption cases as well as numerous estate cases in probate courts.

Toy Law Office and Associates is located in Athens, Ohio—the home to Ohio University. Mr. Grillo also represents students at Ohio University when charged with Code of Conduct and/or Title IX Violations, which often run parallel to criminal charges and allegations against the student.

Professional memberships maintained by Mr. Grillo includes the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Vinton County Bar Association, and the Athens County Bar Association.

Andrew also serves as the Solicitor for the Village of Jacksonville, Ohio and the Village of Trimble, Ohio. Additionally, he is the corporate attorney for the Sunday Creek Water District.

As mentioned previously, Andrew was born and raised in Vinton County, Ohio where he has been an active member of the community. He is a current member of the Park Board for Wyman Park located in McArthur, Ohio. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Andrew and enjoys playing and watching sports such as baseball, basketball, football, and golf.
